Dear patients and friends of Kevin Manners Denture Clinics
Please refer to Public Health England for up to date information on the Coronavirus. Do not attend the clinic if you have a cough or high temperature.
We are delighted to announce the re-opening of the Kevin Manners Denture Clinics from Monday 8th June. This phased re-opening of dentistry in all its forms was announced last week much to the shock and surprise of the dental clinicians and practices of England. We would have liked a ‘heads up’ at least in preparation for the phones ringing off the hook at 9 am the following morning. Dentistry has been hit very hard and most private practising dental professionals say unfairly during the lockdown period. The biggest fear from the regulatory bodies was the generating of AGPs (aerosol-generating procedures, e.g: dental drills combined with saliva, causing spray). Fortunately, Clinical Dental Technology procedures such as ours do not produce AGPs.
We will be operating strict distancing policies with a ‘one in one out’ system. We will only be seeing patients on the hour only and will extend our days to try and accommodate as many patients as possible. All patients with be triaged by telephone on the day before their appointment to ensure they are safe to attend.
We have secured an abundance of full PPE and of course, this will be worn at all times during patient appointments.
We will be asking patients not to attend more than 5 minutes before their allocated appointment time and we will not be utilising any waiting room facilities at any of our clinics.
Hand sanitising stations will in place at all the clinics and its use will be mandatory upon entry and exit.
Please see the link sent out by the General Dental Council today (5th June 2020):
KMDC wish you all the best and can’t wait to see our fabulous friendly patients again as soon as possible
Stay safe, Kevin
