Since denture implants (aka implant retained dentures) are highly durable, natural looking and well secured, they are becoming a popular alternative to traditional dentures.
But there is still some confusion about exactly how denture implants work and what the requirements are to get them.
Implant retained dentures (aka denture implants) are dentures that are supported by titanium metal rods attached to the jaw bone. These implants are permanent and can be used to support full, partial and single tooth dentures.
When you think of the word “denture” you may think of a full set of false teeth but that’s not always the case. Yes, full dentures can be used to replace a whole set of teeth but you can also have a removable partial denture to fill the gap from just one missing tooth.
Gone are the days of embarassing moments with loose and poorly fitting dentures that seem to jump out of your mouth when you speak or eat. As would be expected, things have changed in the way dentures are made and stabilised in the mouth. One way we can do this is by implant retained dentures but what are they?
It can be very daunting trying to decide which of the many different denture types available is best for you. This is especially true if you are a new denture wearer or have struggled to get on with dentures in the past.
There are many different types of dentures available to you. Here at Kevin Manners Denture Clinics in Nottingham we use varied materials, styles and concepts to ensure that we provide you with the best suited denture for your needs.
