FREE Denture Consultation

Our consultation process

During your first free no obligation consultation, we will undertake a detailed evaluation, enabling us to create a detailed treatment plan just for you.

This may include:

  • Taking details about your dental and medical history
  • X-rays and photographic images of your mouth (by our dentist)
  • Full clinical assessment and oral examination
  • Advice on helping you achieve optimum oral health

We will then run through the different types of dentures available and procedures involved, along with costs so you can make an informed choice about the treatment you receive.

Q. Do I need to see a Dentist or can I see a Clinical Dental Technician or both?

Clinical Dental Technician can directly treat, create and fit a complete set of dentures to patients who have experienced total tooth loss. If you are looking for Partial Dentures as you have some of your own natural teeth remaining or you have had a dental implant, you must be first be seen or referred by a Dentist before treatment can begin. We have our own in-house dentist who can assist you with a mouth assessment if preferred or you don't have a regular dentist.

Q. What actually happens in the Consultation and how many times do I visit the clinic?

Appointment 1 - FREE Consultation Lasts approx 30 minutes - This is an oral examination to determine what needs to be done to improve your current situation and we will explain how we can go about it. Relevant medical and dental history will be taken at this stage. Paperwork will be completed along with the consent forms that we will need to be signed before we can continue with treatment. The full costs of your treatment will also be discussed at this stage.

Appointment 2 - Impressions will be taken of your upper and lower jaws.

Appointment 3 - Occlusive registration (working out the relationship between upper and lower jaws). We will also decide on the colour, shape, size and quality of denture tooth required at this stage.

Appointment 4 - We will look at the wax trial dentures we provide as part of our service in the mouth, and then decide if we have achieved the desired appearance. This is then your chance to confirm whether they look right or if we need to make alterations.

The final decision is yours and if you feel you need alterations this will be done for you and no extra cost. (please note if you do change your mind at a later stage and need further cosmetic alterations after the final dentures are fitted, extra costs may be incurred).

Appointment 5 - Usually the fitting of the finished dentures.
